Reliability is our top priority. That's why our data centre is equipped with a robust and redundant power supply system. In the exceptional case of long-term power failure, we automatically switch to three powerful diesel generators. So everything keeps running — total power failure is simply not an option.
Each server cabinet also has two completely separate power feeds with independent UPS systems and its own emergency takeover. So we guarantee maximum uptime for your services.
But power supply is only part of the story. To prevent software and hardware issues, we monitor our servers and network equipment 24/7. Detect a problem? We intervene immediately, so your website or application stays reachable.
Our servers are in BIT data centres, where an advanced cooling system ensures stable and reliable temperatures. Thanks to closed cold corridors and a fully redundant installation, the equipment stays optimally cooled even under high load.
The cooling is also energy-efficient: outside air is used and residual heat is reused to warm the neighbouring BIT-MeetMe visitor centre.
The security of our servers and your data comes first. That's why BIT data centres are equipped with advanced intrusion and fire protection systems. To prevent unauthorised access, cameras inside and outside, an advanced intrusion detection system and 24/7 surveillance services are used.
Fire safety is also carefully arranged. Server rooms are equipped with an independently certified very-early-warning system with automatic notification to the fire brigade. In case of fire, an Argonite gas extinguishing system lowers the oxygen concentration, quickly extinguishing the fire without water damage to the equipment. So your data and hardware stay optimally protected.
Thanks to a redundant connection with the alarm centre, suspicious situations can be addressed immediately. Access is strictly regulated with dual authentication via RFID access cards and iris scanners. The data centre also meets the highest security standards, such as VEB class 4 and certifications according to ISO/IEC 27001 and NEN 7510.
